Volunteer Program

Getting Involved

Volunteers are an important part of our mission. There are many ways that your compassion and expertise can make a difference for the animals in our care. Opportunities are available assisting the public with adoptions or lost and found animals, providing care and affection in our kennels, and exercising and training our dogs. We also need foster parents to take home kittens and puppies that are too young to go up for adoption yet. The Animal Shelter is a 7-day a week operation, and volunteers are needed every day of the week.

Benefits of Volunteering

There are many benefits to being a volunteer! Getting involved in our community, developing new skills, exploring the field of animal care, improving the quality of life for animals, helping animals become more adoptable, meeting new friends, attending our annual appreciation banquet, and the fulfillment that comes from knowing you are making a difference are just a few of the benefits.
