Secure & Verifiable ID Requirements

Secure & Verifiable ID is required to obtain:

  • New titles
  • Duplicate titles (purchased on or after 7/1/06)
  • New registrations
  • New temporary registration permits
  • New handicap placards

 The named owner must present their Secure & Verifiable ID to the motor vehicle technician. If the named owner has asked someone else to complete the transaction on their behalf, a DR2175 Non-Secure Power of Attorney must be completed and notarized. The person completing the transaction on the owner's behalf must also present their Secure & Verifiable ID.
